Returns the common prefix of two sequences, according to the specified comparer.

Parameters

source
Type: System.Collections.GenericIEnumerableTSource
The first sequence.
other
Type: System.Collections.GenericIEnumerableTSource
The second sequence.
comparer (Optional)
Type: System.Collections.GenericIEqualityComparerTSource
The comparer used to test items for equality (can be null).

Type Parameters

TSource
The type of the elements of source.

Return Value

Type: IEnumerableTSource
A sequence consisting of the first elements of source that match the first elements of other. The resulting sequence ends when the two input sequence start to differ.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type IEnumerableTSource. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
